Leven Cottages
I recently had the pleasure of photographing a beautifully designed holiday let in Bude, Cornwall. Just a short stroll from the golden sands of Bude beach, this property offered a wonderful blend of coastal charm and refined interior design that was a joy to capture.
The interior featured calming neutral tones complemented by exposed stonework that added character and warmth. Subtle green accents brought a hint of nature indoors, creating a soothing and inviting atmosphere. To reflect this elegance in the photography, I focused on using my 50mm lens for much of the shoot. This allowed me to simplify the composition and remove distractions, drawing attention to the thoughtful details that make this property special.
Showcasing natural light
One of my priorities was to showcase the natural light that fills the space. I used off-camera flash positioned outside the windows to balance the exposure and highlight the beauty of the window light without losing the soft interior tones. This approach helped to create bright, welcoming images that bring the space to life while staying true to its character.
