About Stuart
Bimble and Wander
I’ve always believed that photographs are more than documentation, they are small acts of escape. I often imagine someone sitting at their desk in a grey, restless city, scrolling through listings on their lunch break, dreaming of the coastline or countryside. My work is created for that moment. I want my imagery to stop someone mid-scroll, to spark a little breath of wishful thinking, and to pull them gently toward the feeling of being here.
My path into photography has never been linear. I first learned a camera through the lens of forensic science, studying precision, detail and composition with absolute focus. Later, working in fine dining and high-end hospitality, I fell in love with atmosphere, light, pacing and the emotional experience of space. When I eventually explored weddings, events and interiors, it was the quieter, more considered side of photography that stayed with me: the part where I could slow down, read a room and craft something intentional.
Property, interior and architectural work became my home because it balances everything I’m drawn to: calm, control, technical precision, gentle storytelling and the ability to shape an experience.
My shooting process is simple. I explore a property for the first time with instinct, letting the small details and unexpected angles speak. I return to them again at the end, after the main shoot, when the light has shifted and the space feels different. Sometimes that leads me into fields, pathways or the shoreline, looking for the viewpoint most people wouldn’t think to consider. I value laughter, ease and a sense of collaboration, my clients often tell me how enjoyable and relaxed the day feels.
Recovering from a challenging year sharpened my appreciation for time, space and the fleeting moments we occupy within them. It’s why my work leans toward warmth, softness, memory-like tones and gentle storytelling. I want images that feel lived-in: the quiet glow through a window, the softness of a room at dusk, the sense of being close enough to the harbour or beach to hear it, but far enough to feel completely at peace.
Outside of photography, I’m often exploring the coastline, walking through the coast paths and fields, enjoying a fine dining meal, or diving head-first into the beautiful chaos of motorsport. I bring all of these influences into my work: a balance of calm, care, creativity and a little spark of adventure.
If you’d describe my approach in three words, they would be: knowledgeable, kind and measured.
